Calendar – Films/Documentaries – BYO Dinner Theater to Screen “Mr. Turner” – Aug. 18

Marquette – Film fans are invited to a BYO Dinner Theater to enjoy a screening of “Mr. Turner” on Tuesday, August 18 at 6 p.m. in the Community Room of the Peter White Public Library.

The biography/drama explores the last quarter century of the great, if eccentric, British painter J.M.W. Turner’s life. Turner was considered a controversial figure in his day, but is now regarded as the artist who elevated landscape painting to an eminence rivaling history painting.

Released in May 2014, “Mr. Turner” is rated R and runs for 144 minutes. The BYO Dinner Theater welcome the public to bring their own takeout meal to enjoy in a dinner theater setting.

There is no admission charge. For more information visit www.pwpl.info or call 226-4318.
