Calendar – Theater – “Hoosiers” Screening – Apr. 16

Marquette – A free screening of the modern classic film “Hoosiers” will be offered on Thursday, April 16 at 6:30 p.m. in the Community Room of the Peter White Public Library.

A coach with a checkered past and a local drunk, work together to train a small town high school basketball team to become a top contender for the championship. The film is loosely based on the true story of the Milan High School team and the 1954 Indiana state championship.

The film was released in 1986, is rated PG and runs for 114 minutes. Light refreshments will be served. There is no admission charge. For more information visit
