Calendar – Groups – Readers Theater to Meet – Apr. 16

Marquette – Readers Theater will meet for a cold reading of the play “Escanaba In Da Moonlight” written by Jeff Daniels on Thursday, April 16 at 7 p.m. in the Shiras Room of the Peter White Public Library.

This Yooper favorite revolves around Reuben Soady who goes off to deer camp with his father Albert, brother Remnar; and friend “the Jimmer.” If Reuben, now 43, doesn’t manage to shoot a buck by the end of the season, he will become the oldest Soady in recorded history not to have achieved this task, a taboo that leads people in the
community to believe he is jinxed.

Readers Theater is a group of adults who are interested in drama and are willing and able to read a scripted role. New readers are always welcome. For more information call 226-4318 or visit www.pwpl.info.
