Marquette – The late night film series, “And the Winner Is…,” will offer a screening of the biographical romance novel “The Danish Girl” on Monday, July 18 at 7:30 p.m. in the Community Room of the Peter White Public Library.
This film is the remarkable love story loosely inspired by the lives of Danish artists Lili Elbe and Gerda Wegener. The film shows how Lili and Gerda’s marriage and work evolve as they navigate Lili’s
groundbreaking journey as a transgender pioneer.
“The Danish Girl” is rated R, and runs for 119 minutes. Viewers are welcome to bring their own refreshments and enjoy the movie in a dinner theater setting.
