Marquette – DocuMonday will offer a free screening of the documentary film “The Armstrong Lie” on Monday, October 6 at 7 p.m. in the Community Room of the Peter White Public Library.
The film documents Lance Armstrong’s comeback to the world of competitive cycling after his triumph over cancer and then winning bicycling’s greatest race, the Tour de France, a record seven consecutive times. Armstrong admitted to using performance enhancing drugs following a federal criminal investigation and a US Anti-Doping Agency
investigation, stripping him of all seven of his previous titles and banning him from sports for life.
Released in 2013, “The Armstrong Lie” is rated R for language and runs for 124 minutes. There is no admission charge. For more information visit www.pwpl.info or call 226-4318.
