Marquette – Film fans are invited to enjoy a bring your own meal film event for a screening of “Demolition” on Tuesday, September 20 at 6 p.m. in the Community Room of the Peter White Public Library.
Jake Gyllenhaal stars as grieving investment banker Davis Mitchell who returns to work after losing his beloved wife in a tragic car accident. After writing a letter to complain about a vending machine, Mitchell receives a phone call from Karen, a customer service rep from the company. Karen, played by Naomi Watts, becomes moved by his complete honesty, while Davis finds someone to lend a sympathetic ear. As his new friendship with Karen and her son grows, Mitchell finds the
strength he needs to rebuild his life.
“Demolition” premiered at the 2015 Toronto Film Festival, is rated R and runs for 101 minutes. Viewers are welcome to bring their own takeout meal to enjoy in the dinner theater setting.
