Marquette – In honor of the 150th anniversary of the decisive battle of the American Civil War, the Peter White Public Library’s Film Club will offer a free screening of the modern classic film “Gettysburg” on Thursday, July 18 at 1 p.m. in the Community Room of the Peter White Public Library.
Based upon the novel “The Killer Angels” by Michael Shaara, the film features thousands of civil war re-enactors marching over the exact ground in Pennsylvania that the federal army and the army of North Virginia fought on in 1863. The film is rated PG and runs for 271 minutes. Light refreshments will be served.
