Calendar – Films/Documentaries – Cold War Film Series to Screen “Nine Days in One Year” – Jan. 30

Marquette – The Cold War Film Series will offer a screening of the 1962 film “Nine Days in One Year” on Tuesday, January 30 at 7 p.m. in the Seminar Room of the Beaumier U.P. Heritage Center at Northern Michigan University.

This is a Soviet film about nuclear scientists, rivals in love, and radiation sickness that is partially based on true events. It runs for 1 hour and 51 minutes. The film will be presented by Beaumier Center director, Daniel Truckey, and will be followed by a discussion.

Admission is free and popcorn will be available. The Center’s exhibition on the Cold War will be open for viewing until 6:45 p.m.
