Marquette – Matinee Movie Series will offer a screening of the documentary “Dark Horse” on Tuesday, November 15 at 12:30 p.m. in the Community Room of the Peter White Public Library.
Set in a former mining village in Wales, this film is the inspirational true story of a group of friends from a working men’s club who decide to take on the elite ‘sport of kings’ and breed themselves a racehorse.
“Dark Horse” premiered at the 2015 Sundance Festival winning the Audience Award for director Louise Osmond, is rated PG and runs for 85 minutes. Matinee Movie welcomes the public to bring their own lunch and enjoy the movie in a dinner theater setting. Closed captioning will be on to ensure access for all.
