Marquette – The Matinee Movie series will offer a screening of the biographical drama “Suffragette” on Monday, July 18 at 12:30 p.m. in the Community Room of the Peter White Public Library.
This history film is based on the true story of the foot soldiers of the early feminist movement (1912 to 1928) in England and the women who were forced underground to pursue a dangerous game of cat and mouse with an increasingly brutal State.
The drama is rated PG-13 and runs for 106 minutes. Matinee Movie welcomes the public to bring their own lunch and enjoy the movie in a dinner theater setting. Closed captioning will be on to ensure access for all.
