Marquette– Film Fans are invited to a free screening of the modern classic film “Capote” on Thursday, March 17 at 6:30 p.m. in the Community Room of the Peter White Public Library.
This biographical drama begins in 1959 when New York City novelist, Truman Capote, played by Phillip Seymour Hoffman, learns of the murder of a Kansas family and decides to write a book about the case. While researching his novel “In Cold Blood” Capote forms a relationship with one of the killers, Perry Smith, who is on death row.
“Capote” was released in 2005, is rated R, and runs for 114 minutes. Light refreshments will be served. There is no admission charge. For more information, visit
