Calendar – Films/Documentaries – Friday Film Club Meets – Dec. 16

Marquette – The Friday Film Club invites film buffs to a screening of the modern classic film “Field of Dreams” on Friday, December 16 at 1:30 pm in the Community Room of the Peter White Public Library.

A uniquely American film “Field of Dreams” is the story of an Iowa corn farmer who, hearing voices, interprets them as a command to build a baseball diamond in his fields. He does, and the Chicago Black Sox come. The film is about the power of dreams and a tribute to our national pastime.

Nominated for 3 Academy Awards, the film is rated PG and runs for 107 minutes.

Light refreshments will be served and, following the film, viewers will have an opportunity to discuss their reactions to the film.

There is no admission charge thanks to sponsorship by the Friends of the Peter White Public Library. For more information visit www.pwpl.info or call 226-43
