Marquette, MI – The Northern Michigan University Alumni Association will host a hospitality tent near the start of the UP 200 sled dog race on Friday, Feb. 12. It will be open to the public from 6-9 p.m. in the Upper Peninsula Health Plan parking lot at the corner of Washington and Fourth Streets. Admission is free.
This family-friendly event will feature a warming tent with heaters provided by Double Trouble DJs, free hot chocolate and cookies from Babycakes Muffin Co., and an opportunity to meet retired Alaskan husky sled dogs Brianna and Flynt from Snowy Plains Kennels in Gwinn. During “half time,” visitors will also be able to pose for a photo with the dogs and a dogsled.
The NMU Alumni Association extends a special thanks to UPHP and O’Dovero Properties for their support of the event.
