MARQUETTE – Kaleidoscope 2014, the kids Educational Fun Fair, will be held Saturday, February 22nd from 12 noon to 4 p.m. at the NMU Superior Dome in Marquette. This is the fair’s 22nd anniversary.
This year will feature over 30 youth groups and organizations hosting crafts, games, fascinating displays, and many hands-on, fun educational activities for kids pre-K through eighth-grade. Well known favorite the NMU Seaborg Center Starlab will be on hand, as well as the National Weather Service and their tornado machine. Marquette BMX will be showing bikes and equipment needed for BMX racing, NMU Recreational Sports booth will feature an activity as well as information on athletics and Rec Sports youth programs, Redeemer Lutheran Early Childhood will do coffee filter butterflies, and Kara Applekamp with State Farm Insurance will have a booth featuring 911 Safety, coloring and give-aways. The Marquette City Fire Department will be on hand with a fire truck and equipment display as well as videos, hand-outs and Sparky.
