Marquette – Celebrating the release of Harper Lee’s new book, a special BYO Dinner Theater event will feature a screening of “To Kill a Mockingbird” on Wednesday, July 15 at 6 p.m. in the Community Room of the Peter White Public Library.
Adapted from Harper Lee’s Pulitzer Prize winning novel, this drama is the story of Atticus Finch, a lawyer in the Depression-era South who defends a black man against an undeserved rape charge, and his own children against prejudice.
Released in 1963, the film version of “To Kill a Mockingbird” stars Gregory Peck, John Megna, Frank Overton, Rosemary Murphy, Alice Ghostley and Robert Duvall in his screen debut. Run time is 129 minutes.
The BYO Dinner Theater welcome the public to bring their own takeout meal or buy from the library cafe and enjoy this classic feature film in a dinner theater setting. There is no admission charge. For more information visit www.pwpl.info or call 226-4318.
