Marquette, MI – DocuMonday presents the documentary film “Rivers and Tides: Andy Goldsworthy Working with Time” on Monday, June 1 at 7:00 pm in the Peter White Public Library Community Room.
This multiple film festival award winning film depicts the magical relationship between art and nature while portraying bohemian artist Andy Goldsworthy demonstrating his unique creative process in creating ephemeral art pieces made entirely of materials found in nature: long winding rock walls, icicle sculptures, long interlocking leaf chains and pools of multicolored flowers.
“Rivers and Tides” was released in 2001, is rated PG and runs for 90 minutes. There is no admission charge thanks to a sponsorship by the Friends of the Peter White Public Library.
This documentary is shown in conjunction with Woodland Offshoots, a series of programs inspired by the Marquette Regional History Center’s special exhibit “Woodland: Suzan Pitt” encouraging exploration and celebration of our forests through history, art and science.
