Marquette, MI – Peter White Public Library’s Matinee Movie series continues on Tuesday, April 14 at 12:30pm with a screening of “Unbroken” in the library’s Community room.
This biographical drama is of Olympian Louis Zamperini who, after a near-fatal plane crash in WWII, spends a harrowing 47 days in a raft with two fellow crewmen before he’s caught by the Japanese navy and sent to a prisoner-of-war camp. Produced and directed by Angelina Jolie, the screenplay is based on the 2010 non-fiction book by Laura Hillenbrand, Unbroken: A World War II Story of Survival, Resilience, and Redemption.
A three time Oscar nominee, “Unbroken” stars Jack O’Connell and Takamasa Ishihara, is rated PG-13 and runs for 137 minutes.
Matinee Movie welcomes the public to bring their own lunch and enjoy the feature film with closed captioning on for access to all, in a cafe theater setting.
