Reception for Ultra Runner Drum on Tuesday

MARQUETTE, Mich.—Scott Drum, who ran the 83.5 mile combined length of both Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore and Isle Royale National Park consecutively in about 24 hours, will be honored at a reception at Northern Michigan University on Tuesday, Aug. 19. The NMU School of Health and Human Performance, where Drum serves as a faculty member, will host the event at 6 p.m. in room 140 of the Physical Education Instructional Facility. The public is invited to attend and congratulate Drum on his success in setting a probable fastest known time (FKT) for the challenge. Refreshments and hors d’oeuvres will be available.
