The Michigan Tech Mind Trekkers–a traveling science and engineering show–will perform during a Family Night and Science Fair at William G. Mather Elementary School in Munising on Tuesday, March 18 and at Stambaugh Elementary School in Iron River on Thursday, March 20. Both events are scheduled for 5 to 7 p.,m.
Mind Trekkers are Michigan Technological University student volunteers who perform a variety of hands-on demonstrations designed to amaze and enthrall children and their families. They make liquid nitrogen ice cream in under a minute (and the kids get to eat it), invite children to touch the hair-raising (literally) Van de Graaff generator, puncture balloons without collapsing them, and dozens of other activities that reveal the science behind what looks like magic.
We invite you to attend one or both of these programs. You should get a good, visual story from the Mind Trekkers of Michigan Tech.
