Baraga Avenue Temporary Parking Restrictions and Closure October 10th and 11th

MARQUETTE, MI – The 100 block of West Baraga Avenue will be closed to overnight parking on Friday, October 10, and will close to all traffic at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 11, in preparation for Baraga Avenue Harvest Fest. West Baraga Avenue will reopen at 11:00 p.m. on October 11. Those needing to utilize the businesses on West Baraga Avenue during the closure are urged to park in the Spring Street public parking lot, the Baraga Avenue public parking lot or park on Third Street. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

You are invited to join us at the Baraga Avenue Harvest Fest presented by New Holland Carhartt Woodsman Beer. Events for all ages will take place throughout the festival, including a big equipment petting zoo, a complimentary carousel, Paint Baraga Avenue Chalk Contest, living statues, local vendors, a Carhartt fashion show, a pasty eating contest, trivia and live music. A wide variety of food vendors from the local area will be on hand, and New Holland Brewery will be showcasing their newest brew, The Carhartt Woodsman, in honor of Carhartt’s 125th anniversary, as well as an Ore Dock/New Holland Brewery collaboration.
