Take a trip back to the era of swing music, victory gardens, and fireside radio chats. Join the History Center for the first Saturday at the Center of the new year. Watch the Boogie Woogie being performed, meet a Winter Carnival Queen and some men in uniform, and come see fashion, toys, and artifacts from the era. Try a scavenger hunt that takes you back in time. Fun for all ages! Enjoy all of this among our world class permanent exhibit regional history gallery and our newly launched show in the Special Exhibit Gallery. 12:00 Swing Dance Demonstration, 1:00 Meet Winter Carnival Queens and Veterans.
Saturday at the Center – The Third-Saturday Series at the History Center is an open house format hands-on and activity day featuring a new theme each month. January through April will each feature a particular decade. Supported in part by the Marquette Breakfast Rotary. This month, “ Swing Back to the 40s”
