Shakespeare Readers Will Meet on Wednesday, May 1

Shakespeare Readers will meet on Wednesday, May 1 at 6:30 pm in the Peter White Public Library’s Shiras Room for a reading of “Richard III.”

Written in approximately 1592, Richard III is one of Shakespeare’s history plays which depicts the Machiavellian rise to power and subsequent short reign of Richard III of England. The reading is in recognition of the recent discovery in Britain by a team of archaeologists of the ancient remains, found under a parking lot, that belong to the long-lost and reviled king.

Shakespeare Readers is a group for anyone who is intrigued with reading the works of William Shakespeare. They meet on the first Wednesday of each month and new members are always welcome.
