Marquette, MI – In recognition of Mental Health Awareness Month in May, Mindy Miller, MSW, clinical supervisor with Marquette General Behavioral Health, will explain the issues relating to Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder on Wednesday, May 1 from 12:00 to 1:00 pm at the Peter White Public Library in the Community room on the lower level of the library.
OCD is an anxiety disorder in which people have unwanted and repeated thoughts, feelings or behaviors (obsessions), that make them feel driven to do something (compulsions.)
Attendees are invited to bring their own lunch or buy from the library café. There is no admission charge and no pre-registration is required.
This presentation is part of Your Mind Matters, a community dialog on mental health issues sponsored by a coalition of community groups and the Peter White Public Library.
