The Nutcracker Ballet December 6th-8th at Kaufman Auditorium

(Marquette, MI) – Kaufman Auditorium & the Second Skin Shop are proud to present a community dance performance of Tchaikovsky’s beloved score The Nutcracker Ballet on Friday, Dec. 6th 7pm, Saturday, Dec. 7th 1pm, & Sunday, Dec. 8th 1pm at Kaufman Auditorium, 611 N Front St. Marquette, MI.

The magic begins with Clara played by Mia Timlin, and her brother Fritz, played by Jack Major, waiting for guests to arrive at their annual holiday party. Their parents are played by Kay & Mike Angeli. Godfather Drosselmeier, played by John Sarkela arrives with magical gifts & presents Clara with a beautiful Nutcracker. Fritz becomes jealous & breaks the Nutcracker. After the party, Clara falls asleep with her Nutcracker & her magical journey begins. Her toys come to life & battle against the army of mice. Clara saves the Nutcracker, played by Whitney Wirkula from the evil Rat Queen played by, Liz Whitman. The Nutcracker turns into a Prince, and takes Clara on a journey to the land of Snow & Sweets.

Tickets are $12.00 for the general public, $10.00, and $8.00 for students, including NMU students, in advance. At the door tickets cost $3.00 more. All seats are reserved. Tickets are on sale at all NMU EZ Ticket Outlets, online at www.nmu.edu/tickets or by calling 227-1032.
