Fur Harvesting Opportunities

Important Reminders

Fur harvester licenses are valid May 1, 2017 – April 30, 2018.
Kill tags are available May 1 through the last day of trapping season for fisher, marten and otter.
Bobcat kill tags are only available through Nov. 30.

Residents with a fur harvester license can now get their free kill tags online at E-License. Kill tags can also be requested by visiting a license agent or a DNR Customer Service Center.

Thank you for contributing to the conservation of Michigan’s natural resources. Good luck this season!

Did you know…

…there are 17 different species you can harvest with your fur harvester license?

If you haven’t gotten out hunting or trapping yet this year, there are opportunities for fur harvesting in Michigan year-round.

There are even nighttime hunting opportunities for coyote, red and gray fox, opossum and raccoon.
