Marquette, Michigan – The Upper Peninsula Children’s Museum in Marquette will receive a $17,000 grant from the Michigan Council for Arts and Cultural Affairs to help keep the smiles on the faces of its young visitors.

The MCACA awards competitive grants each year to help arts and cultural non-profit agencies across the state meet their most basic needs, including heat, electricity and staffing.

The U.P. Children’s Museum opened its doors at 123 West Baraga Avenue in 1997 and has been serving families with hands-on, fun learning experiences for over 15 years. For more information on the Museum, call (906) 226-3911, or visit www.upchildrensmuseum.com.
