Marquette – The Readers Theater will meet for a reading of the play “City of Angels” by Larry Gelbart on Tuesday, April 5 at 7 p.m. in the shiras Room of the Peter White Public Library in Marquette.
This award winning musical comedy is set in Hollywood in the late 1940s, with two stories occurring simultaneously: a Hollywood comedy and a detective drama. The play interweaves the two plots, creating a double feature quality that leads to many unique production values.
Peter White Public Library Readers Theater is a group of adults, who are interested in drama and are willing and able to read a scripted role. They meet on the first Tuesday of each month to read plays for enjoyment. New members are always welcome.
