Marquette – The Peter White Public Library’s Afternoon Classic Film Series will screen “My Fair Lady” on Friday, August 12 at 1:30 p.m. Friday in the Community Room.
It is the story of snobbish professor Henry Higgins, who tries to transform unrefined Cockney flower girl Eliza Doolittle into a lady and fool everyone into thinking she really is one.
This eight-time Oscar winning musical is an adaptation of the Broadway hit based on George Bernard Shaw’s “Pygmalion.” Released in 1964, the color film runs for 170 minutes.
