Marquette, Mi.—April 6, 2018— Marquette Breakfast Rotary announced today that they are awarding $25,000 in grants to local youth organizations in Marquette County. A total of 28 organizations were awarded grants this year ranging from $350 to $2,000 for their specific program or project.
Marquette Breakfast Rotary’s grant cycle is made possible through proceeds generated by their annual Fishboil fundraiser, held each year in June. This year’s Fishboil will be held on June 16, 2018. Through sponsorships, ticket sales, and a live and silent auction, the club is able to raise substantial funds to be able to support a yearly grant cycle.
“Marquette Breakfast Rotary has a strong youth focus; it’s our mission and our philosophy to continue to support organizations that enhance and benefit youth in our community and internationally,” said Katie Koch, president of Marquette Breakfast Rotary. “It’s amazing to see the many organizations that have great projects out there, and we’re so happy to be able to support them.”
