Snacking with the Spirits Cemetery Walk August 18th

Marquette, Michigan – The Marquette Regional History Center and the Marquette Food Co-op have teamed up to create a cemetery tour for foodies. On Tuesday, August 18 from 6pm-8pm, the two organizations will host the event “Snacking with the Spirits.” Tickets are $15 and can be purchased at the History Center or the Food Co-op. Tickets must be purchased in advance.

The History Center will lead a walking tour through Park Cemetery to hear the stories and visit the gravesites of people influential to Marquette’s culinary history. Afterwards, the Marquette Food Co-op will provide a sampling of appetizers inspired by these stories.

Walkers should meet at the main entrance to Park Cemetery, 301 N. Seventh St. Food will be served at the Seventh Street entrance to Sandy Knoll Elementary. In the case of rain, the event will be held on Thursday, August 20.
