The Northern Center for Lifelong learning will present “The Great White Plague and the U.P.” on Sunday, February 24 from 2 to 4 p.m. in the Community Room of the Peter White Public Library. Carol Margrif will share stories, photos and her passion for making sure the Great White plague story doesn't get lost. Tuberculosis was very much a part of U.P. history. Multiple visuals will be used, including scenes filmed inside Acocks Medical Facility/Morgan Heights Sanitorium. Registration deadline is Thursday, February 21. Call Lorana Jinkerson at 226-6210.
