Rebounds for Rotary – Marquette Breakfast Rotary Club and Marquette Senior High School Athletics Team up to Support Youth

February 1, 2018 (Marquette, MI) – Marquette Breakfast Rotary and Marquette Senior High School Athletics announced today a charity basketball game to benefit the mission of Marquette Breakfast Rotary and the Marquette Senior High School Athletic department. Rebounds for Rotary will be held on Thursday, April 19, 2018 in the gymnasium of Marquette Senior High School. Local celebrities will be playing a charity basketball game against MSHS varsity players, teachers and principals. Proceeds from the event will be divided between Breakfast Rotary and the Athletic Department.

“Our mission is to continually give back to our community, with an emphasis on youth organizations and programs,” said Katie Koch, president of Marquette Breakfast Rotary. “This event enables us to truly involve our youth in raising funds not only for their school but also to help support and learn about all the good that Rotary is doing in the Marquette community.”

A list highlighting the local celebrities and teachers who are participating will be released soon as well as the many sponsors for the event.

“Rotary continues to help support worthy programs and activities at the school,” said Alex Tiseo, MSHS Athletic Director. “By combining our fundraising efforts into a joint event, we’re going to be able to raise funds for both the community and for our athletic department. We’re thrilled to be able to support this event and team up with Rotary.”

Tickets are $10.00 for adults and $5.00 for students (18 and under). Tickets will be available on Eventbrite or at the door on the night of the event. In addition to an exciting and humorous basketball game, there will be a special half time show, 50/50, concessions and audience participation opportunities. Sponsorships for the game are available now. Inquiries can be directed to Marquette Breakfast Rotarians, Reed Benton or Jennifer Huetter. Donations to Marquette Breakfast Rotary are tax deductible. Rebounds for Rotary is set for Thursday, April 19, 2018.
