Imagine Marquette, Defining a Vibrant Arts and Culture Community, is exactly what the City seeks to do with the ten year Arts and Culture Master Plan. Since the first master plan was written twenty years ago, arts and culture in Marquette and the region has changed significantly.
The City’s new Arts and Culture Master Plan will create vision for a vibrant and sustainable arts and culture scene which will include recommendations and define the role of the City in implementing its plan. The process will include community input, identifying assets, opportunities and challenges facing the arts and culture community. Community input is the most critical component of this planning process.
The City will host two public meetings and conduct a survey to identify and understand the needs, challenges and vision for our unique area. Public Meetings will take place in the Citizen Forum Room at Lakeview Arena. Public meetings will be facilitated by consulting firms Christine Harris Connections of Milwaukee and Creative Community Builders of Minneapolis.
