Marquette, Michigan – Northern Michigan University (NMU) will have a delayed start today Monday, December 2, 2019. NMU will open at 12:00pm (Noon).
Due to the excessive amount of snow in the parking lots and on the side walks, we will have a delayed start. In addition to clearing the snow, a layer of ice has developed which needs to be treated with an anti-icing product. This will give the Grounds crew and the Building and Grounds attendants an opportunity to clean up the snow and apply anti-icing product in an effort to provide a safe walking environment.
Keep in mind there may be areas that are not treated, which may result in slippery conditions. Please use caution when walking outside.
