Marquette, Mich. (March 21, 2014) – Another key milestone has been reached in the development of the new Marquette General Hospital campus. Veteran healthcare design firm Gresham, Smith and Partners (GS&P) has been chosen as the architect of the new Marquette General Hospital facility. Selected from healthcare architects across the nation, Gresham, Smith and Partners has worked with health systems in communities worldwide and is on the forefront of creating efficient and resilient designs for the changing healthcare market.

Since its founding in 1967, GS&P has improved the healing environments for hundreds of healthcare systems and hospitals around the world. The company was selected as Marquette General’s partner because it is an industry-leader in the field of functional planning and efficient healthcare design. GS&P has dedicated a team of senior design leaders to this project as well as healthcare planners, researchers and a healthcare strategist who specialize in strategically planning for the future operations and clinical goals of a hospital.

A site for the new Marquette General Hospital campus is expected to be chosen this spring. Once this is complete, a design and construction schedule will be determined, and contractors will be selected.
