Marquette – A “Kissing the Water: The Lure and the Lore of Fly Fishing” Casting Demo Day will be offered on Wednesday, August 30 from 3 to 6 p.m. at the Marquette Regional History Center, 145 W. Spring Street in Marquette.
Watch area masters and try your hand at tying and casting. Children are welcome as well as seasoned veterans.
There is magic involved in fly fishing. See how this sport captures art, philosophy, literature and environmental concerns. From handmade rods and flies, to the work of John Voelker, fly fishing has a rich history in this region.
