Marquette – The City of Marquette Arts and Culture Center is proud to present visiting, star lore historian, astronomer and author Mary Stewarts Adams and artist Patricia DeLisa to Marquette for two unique workshops.
Beyond the Telescope will be held on Friday, September 27 from 6 to 7 p.m. at the Shiras Planetarium, located at Marquette Senior High School. This workshop will be a dynamic and entertaining evening about finding ones own story in the stars and is geared for all ages.
Social Astronomy will be held on Saturday, September 28 frin 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the City of Marquette Arts and Culture Center in the lower level of the Peter White Public Library. The workshop consists of using maps of the current night sky of Marquette to create star stories.
