Marquette City Fire Department Training at Northern Michigan University

Marquette, Michigan – The Marquette City Fire Department will be training on the campus of Northern Michigan University, for the next two weeks (June 26th-July 8th) in the Summitt St apartment buildings, that are scheduled for demolition this summer. Several different types of training scenarios will be conducted, including, the use of a straw smoke generator. The public is asked to give fire personnel adequate room to accomplish training goals and to exercise caution in and around the area.

The Marquette City Fire Department would like to express its gratitude to Northern Michigan University for the opportunity to use the structures for invaluable training, and the continuing partnership in keeping residents safe.
