Marquette – CineArts Films, a series devoted to foreign and independent films, in conjunction with NMU’s Beaumier U.P. Heritage Center, will celebrate French Canadian Heritage Days with the movie “Seducing Doctor Lewis/La grande séduction” on Friday, October 7 at 6 p.m. in the
Community Room of the Peter White Public Library.
This is a BYO Dinner Event. The evening will be introduced by Dan Truckey, Director, Beaumier Museum.
This comedy takes place in a Quebec fishing village on a tiny impoverished island. The residents wish to persuade a plastics company to build a new factory in their town. To qualify, the town needs a doctor. The entire village begins the seduction of a young Montreal-based doctor, hoping to convince him that their isolated village is the ideal place to live.
