Marquette – The late night film series, “And the Winner
Is…,” will screen the crime thriller “Sicario” on Monday, August 1 at 7:30 p.m. in the Community Room of the Peter White Public Library.
This three time Oscar nominated film follows an idealistic FBI agent
who is enlisted to join a government task force to aid in the escalating war against drugs by pursuing a drug lord at the border area between the U.S. and Mexico. The perilous mission forces her to question everything she believes and pits her against a shadowy consultant with a dangerous agenda.
Released in 2015, “Sicario” is rated R for strong violence and language and runs for 121 minutes. Viewers are welcome to bring their own refreshments and enjoy the movie in a dinner theater setting.
