Raptors for Vets – June 22nd

Chocolay, Michigan –  On Wednesday, June 22, 2016 the Chocolay Raptor Center will host a fundraiser for National Alliance on Mental Illness-Alger/Marquette. NAMI-A/M will introduce “Homefront”, their newest class for families, partners and friends of service members and veterans experiencing a mental health challenge.

This fundraiser coincides with the arrival of the Traveling Vietnam Wall, and is a rare opportunity for the public to meet the Chocolay Raptor Center’s 3 ambassador raptors (great horned owl, red-tailed hawk, and peregrine falcon). The event begins at 5:30pm at Frazier’s Lake Superior Yacht Yard (adjacent to the Lake Superior Theatre and Mattson Park in Marquette). Suggested donation is $15 per person and children are free.

For more information call 906-249-3598 or 906-360-7107.
