Marquette – The Marquette Regional History Center will present “U.P. Wildfires” on Wednesday, March 16 at 7 p.m. at MRHC on W. Spring Street in Marquette.
Historically, there were more than one million acres burned in Michigan annually. Most of the U.P.’s fires occur in wetlands. Explore the fire-adapted ecosystems past, present and future with Randy Swaty, ecologist with The Nature Conservancy’s LANDFIRE
team.
Admission is a $5 suggested donation at the door. For more information, call 226-3571 or go to marquettehistory.org.
