Marquette, Michigan – December 14, 2015 – On Wednesday December 16th 6:00-8:00 p.m. the MRHC will be presenting Christmas in the 1930’s.
What an interesting decade to celebrate. Recovering from the depression, recipes were creative, many decorations were homemade. Yet there is so much to discover including engineering marvels, Amelia Earhart’s flight across the Atlantic, Fireside Chats and great tunes like Santa Claus is Coming to Town. Join us for treats from the times, make simple decorations, and sing songs from the decade. Taffy Pulling at 6:30 p.m., Music at 7:00 p.m. and crafts and light refreshments throughout the night. Free to the public. Donations welcome. Please visit marquettehistory.org or call 906-226-3571 for more info.
