ISIS Panel Discussion at NMU Dec. 16th

Marquette, MI – William McCants, author of The ISIS Apocalypse: The History, Strategy and Doomsday Vision of the Islamic State, will participate in a phone conference at Northern Michigan University. A panel discussion will follow. The event is scheduled from 1:30-3 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 16, in 1318 Jamrich Hall. It is sponsored by NMU’s departments of political science, international studies and international programs.

McCants is director of the project titled “U.S. Relations with the Islamic World” at the Brookings Institute. He is a former senior adviser for both the U.S. State Department and the Defense Department on countering violent extremism.

Carter Wilson, head of NMU’s political science department, and visiting professor Hanna Kassab will serve on the panel and lead a discussion after McCants’ presentation.
