Marquette – Film fans are invited to enjoy a BYO meal movie event for a screening of “Me and Earl and the Dying Girl” on Tuesday, November 17 at 12:30 p.m. and again at 6 p.m. in the Community Room of the Peter White Public Library.
The 2015 comedy/drama, based on the debut novel written by Jesse Andrews, follows high-schooler Greg, who spends most of his time making parodies of classic movies with his co-worker Earl. Greg finds his outlook forever altered after befriending a classmate who has just been diagnosed with cancer.
The film is rated PG-13 and runs for 105 minutes. The Matinee Movie feature will be shown with closed captioning on for access to all while the BYO Dinner theater will be shown with no subtitles. Viewers are welcome to bring their own takeout meal to enjoy in the dinner theater setting.
