Marquette – The Northern Michigan University music department will bring a piece of London to campus with a screening of the Royal Ballet’s production of “Swan Lake” on Sunday, November 15 at 5 p.m. in the Jamrich Hall Auditorium at NMU.
The ballet is about Prince Siegfried, who happens upon a flock of swans while out hunting. When one of the swans turns into a beautiful woman, he becomes enchanted by her beauty and becomes determined to break the curse that holds her captive. Swan Lake has become one of the best-known classical ballets.
The event is free for NMU students. Non-student tickets are $15. Following the broadcast, there will be a discussion in the lobby. For more information, contact the NMU music department at music@nmu.edu or 227-2563.
