Global Cinema: Latvia’s Flow Friday, January 16, 2026. 12:00 p.m.-2:00 p.m. Peter White Public Library Community Room. Adults, Seniors, Teens. This Oscar-winning animated feature film from Latvia features a cat trying to survive in a post-apocalyptic world of water. Rated PG. No admission charge. Kids Read! Winter Reading – STICK with Reading! Family Read-in Kickoff Saturday, January 17, 2026. 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Peter White Public Library Kids Room. The annual Kids Winter Reading program has returned! Winter Reading: STICK with Reading is open to all children 0-14. This year kids will read to choose from tiered levels of progressively more awesome stickers. Join us in kicking off Winter Reading with a Family Read-In! There will be cozy reading nooks set up throughout the kids’ room for kids and families to sit and read together, either out loud or quietly. Other activities during the kick-off event will include registering for winter reading & getting reading sheets, decorating a sticker collecting container, earning extra prize stickers via the kickoff BINGO card, cookies and hot cocoa (from 11am-1pm only), a sticker mural, and more! If you miss kickoff, register online for Winter Reading at any time before the program ends on February 28 and then stop by the library to get your reading sheet. No admission charge. Teens Read: Winter Reading! Saturday, January 17, 2026. Teens can fill out reading logs for a chance to win one of two $50 gift cards. Registration for Teens Read: Winter Reading will open at 9 am on our website and will remain open until February 22, 2025. All logs must be turned in by February 28, for entry into the gift cards. For students in grades 6-12. Registration is required; no admission charge. PWPL Board of Trustees Meeting Tuesday, January 20, 2026. Meeting begins at 5:00 p.m. Peter White Public Library, George Shiras III Room. Regular monthly meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Peter White Public Library. The meeting is open to all. Stuffie Sleepover Storytime Tuesday January 20, 2026. 6:00 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. Peter White Public Library Great Room. Families with youth of all ages can attend this special storytime. PJ’s are highly encouraged! Kids are encouraged to bring a stuffie friend who can sleep overnight at the library (it is highly recommended that kids do NOT bring their favorite stuffie friend to stay overnight). Kids will be able to pick up their stuffie friend the following morning, along with a picture of what fun things their stuffie friend did while overnight at the library.
