NCLL Offers NMU Tour, Spice Workshop Deadline Approaches – Oct. 28

Marquette, MichiganOctober 26, 2015 – The Northern Center for Lifelong Learning will offer two early November events: a guided tour of Northern Michigan University’s campus; and a workshop on how to properly use spices. Each costs $3 for NCLL members and $8 for nonmembers and has an advance registration deadlines of Wednesday, Oct. 28.

The NMU tour is scheduled to begin at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 3. It will begin at the Marketplace, the dining facility between Gant and Spalding residence halls. An optional dinner is available afterward at the Marketplace for $9.85 plus tax.

On Wednesday, Nov. 4, the owners of the Spice Merchants of Marquette will help participants define the spices that will best complement their gourmet dishes. Mike and Carolyn Carl will also offer a tour of their store, which features a wide array of teas and accessories in addition to spices. The workshop runs from 10 a.m. to noon.
