MARQUETTE, MICHIGAN – Peter White Public Library invites film fans to a BYO Dinner Theater event on Tuesday, March 18 at 5:30 pm to enjoy a screening of “Captain Phillips” in the library’s Community room.
Starring Tom Hanks, Barkard Abdi and Catherine Keener, this thriller is based on the true story of Captain Richard Phillips and the 2009 hijacking by Somali pirates of the US-flagged MV Maersk Alabama, the first American cargo ship to be hijacked in two hundred years.
Nominated for 6 Academy and 4 Golden Globe Awards, “Captain Phillips” was released in October 2013, is rated PG-13 and runs for 134 minutes.
BYO Dinner Theater welcomes the public to bring their own takeout supper and enjoy this recently released feature film, shown in high definition Blu-Ray, in a dinner theater setting.
