Calendar – Benefits/Fundraisers – Great Lakes Run for Recovery – Sept. 20

Marquette – The Great Lakes Run for Recovery, a fund and awareness-raising event, will be held on Sunday, September 20 beginning with registration at 11 a.m. at the Lakeshore Parking Lot on the corner of Lakeshore Boulevard and Spring Street in Marquette.

The event is open to the public and includes a 5K walk and a 10K run, which start at noon. Proceeds benefit the GLRC Foundation that supports treatment and prevention services for substance abuse and mental health disorders in the U.P.

This year, public safety employees from local fire departments, EMS and police departments compete for the Heroes Challenge Trophy. Visit www.greatlakesrecovery.org or call 228-9699 for more information or to register. Online registration is also available at www.superiortiming.com/registration.
